The Scottish Environment Protection Agency is one of the most innovative and ambitious environment protection agencies in the world. We take information security very seriously, and are looking for an Information Security Officer to help ensure we keep our information, our buildings, and our staff, safe and secure.

As part of the Resilience team in our new and exciting Performance and Innovation portfolio, you will ensure good governance of, and compliance with, information security policy, standards, procedures, and guidelines to prevent the unauthorised use, release, modification, or destruction of information in its various forms. As an experienced professional, you will be familiar with the Security Policy Framework, ISO 27001 and HMG Information Security Standards. You will be comfortable writing policies, processes and procedures, and advising senior management and other staff on information security. You will also be able to work closely and constructively with other specialist staff involved in IT security, data security and legal compliance.
