The role

Working on a number of vital projects, you’ll contribute to every stage of the technical development lifecycle - from design and systems integration, through to helping customers resolve problems. It’s about developing highly sensitive technologies, enabling us to respond to time-critical events so we can protect our nation. While primarily based in London, you’ll also be required to work at various locations around the UK with the possibility of international travel.

To enable you to create world firsts, we’ll provide tailored development plans to keep your skills up-to-date and build on your expertise. You’ll learn more about network engineering and global connectivity methods, digital and analogue electronics or Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), to name just a few.

About you

With the constant drive to find effective solutions, you’ll be proactive and able to solve complex problems. Your skills will have been built through a degree, vocational courses, or previous experience. We’ll also expect sound understanding and expertise in at least two of the following technologies:

- Network engineering (ideally holding relevant certifications) and global connectivity methods including Routers, Switches and Firewalls

- Mobile communications technologies

- Bespoke software and hardware development and integration

- Technical infrastructure design and implementation

- Knowledge of IT Security, forensics and penetration testing, various operating systems and encryption and VPNs
