Team Leading Solutions Architect - Hosting / Cloud Computing
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Solutions Architect to join this prestigious leader in the field Cloud Computing. This is a pivotal role in which the successful Solutions Architect will play a crucial role in leading, managing and motivating a team of up to 5 staff designing leading edge managed and hosted solutions. The organisation has gone from strength to strength, building an envied client base, a reputation for providing excellent customer service and offering an unparallelled range of solutions.
The Solutions Architect will play a crucial role within the business and will help them continue their success, you will have a high degree of autonomy and will lead the design of innovative cutting edge solutions for a high profile client base. There will be a presales element to the role and you will be required to work closely with customers to understand their requirements, write technical proposals that include hardware, software and networking components and deliver technical presentations at a senior level.
In addition you will be working closely with Support, Operations and Sales teams delivering support to Channel Partners and Technical Sales, helping develop the technical capability of the sales teams through training and mentoring, and helping drive year on year productivity improvements across the business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background of Solutions Architecture, Technical Pre Sales and Team Leading in a hosting environment and an excellent understanding of the competitive landscape. It is essential you have designed diverse technical solutions, have the ability to build solid relationships with customers, can communicate effectively both technically and non technically and can influence product development through feedback and technical expertise. A broad technical knowledge is essential and should include an excellent understanding of server hardware, firewalls, load balancing, virtualisation, Windows, Linux, IIS, SQL, Exchange, AD and SAN amongst others.
