My client are a leading global Insurance company and they are seeking the talents of a Commercial Underwriter to join their exciting and expanding team. This company offer a great range of benefits as well as the opportunity to forge a career at one of the world's largest Insurance brands.

You will be responsible for building dynamic relationships with brokers to assist in the delivery of Underwriting services. They are looking for somebody with a Commercial Underwriting background. They are also willing to provide great mentoring and training to ensure you maximise your potential with the company.

The Commercial underwriter will be responsible for the following duties;

Delivering on and exceeding revenue expectations through effective Underwriting of existing business.

Demonstrating knowledge of loss ratio control by adhering to branch Underwriting controls.

Ability to build great broker relationships to ensure their clients view you as their leading trade partner.

Identify accounts that are underperforming and look to investigate and improve those accounts.

Contribute to meetings with Senior Underwriters to provide insight on how to improve account performance.

The successful applicant should have the following skills and experience;

Prior experience Underwriting in either Property or Casualty is essential.

CII qualification or the intention of doing so in the very near future.

Good analytical and numerical reasoning skills.

Proven experience decision making across a range of Underwriting scenarios in a commercial environment.
