An Associate Claims Consultant is required for a Capital Projects Legal team in Bristol, with a proposed package of £70k to £110k. Benefits include car and travel allowance, private medical & dental care, pension, 27 days holiday and annual bonuses of 20% to 40% of annual salary.
My client currently holds a leading position in the competitive global claims market, supplying expert legal services to a variety of employers, contractors and legal practices. Having been established for over a century, they work on projects across various sectors including defence, m & e, oil & gas, build, civils, nuclear, petrochemical and rail. Projects undertaken by this firm range from £200,000 - £5billion and are across the globe.
As a company employing close to 100,000 specialists, my client has a different management approach compared with many of the other leaders in this market. Requirements:
§A relevant degree in either engineering or quantity surveying
§A second degree or masters would be beneficial
§An already established client following, though this is not essential
§Experience working with both consultancies and contractors
§The ability to successfully manage and train employees
§Experience working on multi-million pound claims
§Will have carried out and assisted on adjudications, arbitrations
§Experience working as an Expert Witness would be beneficial
§The ability to successfully interact with clients of all calibres
§A background of working within any of the following sectors: Construction, Oil & Gas, Build, Civils, Petrochemical, Rail
Duties:
§Business development with a client facing, sales approach to business
§Preparing and submitting claims for large adjudications
§Litigation, adjudication and or arbitration
§Forensic analysis
§Acting as an expert witness and submitting reports (though not essential)
§Man-management and the assistance in the growth of the team
§International travel, though not on a regular basis
§Building a close working relationship with specialists in other offices, supported by my client
§Site visits
§Looking after existing clients
