Are you an experienced and talented Automotive Engineer with previous experience in an Automotive OEM supplier or research centre now seeking a fresh challenge or change of direction? We are at the forefront of ADAS and autonomous vehicles technologies, we are a dynamic company with exciting growth plans for the continued expansion of our Autonomous Car Division.

We are a leading independent automotive consultancy with a UK headquarters, offices in Japan, North America and India. Our Autonomous Car Division works with vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, research institutes and government agencies to help them understand markets and technologies, and to develop appropriate solutions in relation to vehicle autonomous systems.

The role

Representing us as an Autonomous car technology expert you will deliver consultancy projects, meet with clients, organise workshops on a range of technical and market topics, and work in partnership with them to shape their products and future strategies. The role will utilise your project management skills from proposal preparation to on-time project delivery as well as your analytical skills to write reports. Your main responsibilities include:

1.Researching and consulting in the areas of Autonomous Driving, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicle technologies.

2.Working in partnership with clients to help shape their products and future product strategies

3.Extensive analysis of research to interpret data resulting in the composition of easy to read, high quality, technical reports

4.Attending and presenting at conferences and industry events

5.Responding to specific client one off projects

6.Producing technology and feature forecasts through research and analysis

7.Evaluation of Human Machine Interface

8.Analysis of vehicle architectures

The person

You will already have autonomous car technology knowledge and experience through a role in technical development and/or product planning, working for a vehicle manufacturer, supplier or a research centre. You will need to demonstrate the following:

1.An understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the autonomous car industry, and evidence of your ability to keep abreast of technical and business developments in this fast-moving sector including Traffic Jam Assistance, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Surround View and higher levels of vehicle autonomy

2.Understanding of ADAS sensors (radar, camera, ultrasonic, laser, maps, V2X) and automotive networks

3.Excellent planning and organisational skills to deliver multiple high quality projects on time

4.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport and inspire confidence with clients; preferably bi-lingual; fluent in English and another language.

5.Effective PowerPoint skills for clear presentations and Excel for complex modelling / calculations

6.Proficient in written business communications

7.Comfortable working under pressure to achieve challenging deadlines without compromising the quality of deliverables

8.Regular travel, mainly to Europe and on occasion intercontinental
