Role: IT Security Engineer

Duration: 12 months

Location: Dublin 2

Rate: Competitive

A leading assets management company in Dublin 2 is seeking an experienced IT Security contractor with extensive Network Security experience. This is an opportunity for a contractor to secure a long-term contract and gain vital experience in popular technically trending areas.

Day-to-day includes:

- Support the user community as it pertains to the security of workstations, servers, networks and communication systems.

- Troubleshoot and analyse network security on various technologies.

- Monitor security system logs and reports for anomalies and problems to further tune security and data protection systems.

- Review vulnerability assessments and audit reports for remediation and mitigation solutions.

- Assist with monthly out-of-hours patching maintenance on server systems and as required for security and network infrastructure projects.

- Participate in evaluation of security of new products and services.

- Assist in the development and updating of network security systems and operational procedures for the IT Security Group.

Technology requirements:

- Experience with IT security technologies including Antivirus, Endpoint Protection, Data Leakage Protection (DLP), hard disk encryption, Web and E-mail content filters, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), mobile technologies and biometric authentication systems.

- Checkpoint/Cisco network security technologies.

- Certificate Authority configuration and management.

- McAfee product suites.

- SIEM technologies.

- Security & Networking in virtual environments.

- ISO27001 Standards knowledge/experience.
