IT Security Analyst - Governance - Risk - DLP - SEIM - GRC - Somerset
My client is urgently seeking an IT Security Analyst to join an existing IT Security team focussing on growing and maturing data discovery / DLP, SIEM and GRC tools. Ideally the successful Junior Security Analyst will have direct experience of these technologies but we are looking for flexibility, a can-do attitude and a proven ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to other areas when required. The successful Security Analyst will report into to the Lead IT Security Analyst this role would be an ideal platform to learn new skills and take on further responsibility.
Experience and Background
Must have demonstrable experience in an Security Analyst or equivalent position.
Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
Will be required to interface with suppliers and other technical teams.
Desirable skills:
* Experience in data discovery / data loss prevention desired. Experience of RSA DLP is an advantage.
* Experience of SIEM and/or GRC tooling desired. Specific knowledge of IBM QRadar and RSA Archer is an advantage.
* Knowledge of PCI-DSS
* Knowledge or experience within the retail sector
Core accountabilities:
You will be supporting the operational security team in the:
* Maintenance, operational running of, responding to, investigation and remediation of alerts produced by the data loss prevention system (RSA DLP)
* Maintenance, operational running of, responding to, investigation and remediation of alerts produced by the Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) toolset (IBM QRadar).
* Maintenance and operational running of Governance, Risk and Compliance tooling (RSA Archer) to generate reports and KPIs.
* Development of these tools, including integration of additional data sources (security logs, span ports etc).
* Assessment of internal and external vulnerability scan reports, identify false positives, research vulnerabilities.
* Documentation of operational processes.
