Information Architect a 6 month Fixed Term Contract then one month rolling - £45,000 pro rata - user experience, customer centred / user centric design
A leading blue chip organisation are seeking a Information Architect to join a expanding a team based in Paddington, London. You act as project lead using a user centred design approach for key projects that develop and maintain the information architecture and content framework of our clients main website, creating a high quality, easy to use and recognisably brand customer experience. You will manage the Information Architecture Project Output and a team of Information Architect Practitioners.
You'll run project kick-off workshops using Rapid Contextual Design methods and write creative briefs, manage design project stakeholders to Head of/ Director level, develop and document interaction design for the web portals products and services with a view to linking them into convergent product and services on the WAP portal. A key part of your role will also to be to design templates, components and guidelines for their use on large a content manage system, including clear evidence of how they can be used to support optimal customer journeys and to ensure usability research feedback is incorporated into flows and wireframes as appropriate.
The successful candidate will have proven experience as an Information Architect or Interaction Designer and be proficient in a broad range of IA tools and techniques including Rapid Contextual Design methods, user flows, taxonomies, navigation models and wireframes. You will be an expert in two or more of the following: controlled vocabularies, meta-data, taxonomies, interaction design, pattern libraries and UI behaviours. In addition applicants must be experienced in information structuring and task modelling with a strong grasp of best practice usable design. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage project stakeholders and senior management to Head of/ Director level and have fantastic communication and interpersonal skills.
In return, this challenging opportunity offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 pro rata. This is a 6 month fixed term contract with the possibility of continuing on a one months rolling basis.
