Do you have experience in and understanding of information assurance, cyber security and relevant legislation, e.g. ISO27001, Data Protection Act, Computer misuse Act, and the foundations of information and cyber security?

Do you have in-depth knowledge of current security technologies, and internet security issues such as: Denial of Service attacks, malware, and phishing?

Have you got In-depth knowledge of remote access best practice and technologies?

The main purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day information assurance, IT security and cyber intrusion activities, ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of the infrastructure to agreed IT security and service standards. The activities of this role will include working on administration support activities, 3rd line incident and problem resolution, monitoring and reporting. A flexible and adaptable attitude to tasks and activities is required as well as a strong interest in IT and cyber security.

Essential Skills

Experience in and understanding of information assurance, cyber security and relevant legislation, e.g. ISO27001, Data Protection Act, Computer misuse Act, and the foundations of information and cyber security including harm, identity, confidentiality, integrity, availability, threat, risk, hazard, trust & assurance and insider threat

In-depth knowledge of current security technologies, internet security issues (Denial of Service attacks, malware, phishing, etc.) and of the following: Windows installations, Active Directory, virtual platforms, alerting & monitoring systems, IT network features & functions, firewalls, common practice network security, OSI & TCP/IP models, network appliances, anti-virus products, protective monitoring and penetration testing techniques

Knowledge and experience of HMG IA security standards, policies, procedures & guidance, Risk Management Accreditation Document Set (RMADS), accreditation, risk assessment processes and the PSN Code of Connection

Experienced in solution development and architecture and in reviewing and designing

complex multi-domain architectures and in advising on, designing and implementing

system architectures to ensure they meet IT security and business needs

Desirable

IT Security recognised qualification or similar academic qualification

Registered Technical Security Architect certification

Working in an environment with ISO27001

?

In-depth knowledge of remote access best practice and technologies

?

Experience in applying penetration testing effectively

?

Experience in using Splunk

?

Knowledge of Crypto Systems and their management

?

Experience of deploying security controls and technologies within a Linux environment

?

ITIL Practitioner qualification

Commutable from Hounslow, Brentford, Twickenham, Richmond, Putney, New Malden, Kingston, Teddington, with an immediate start date for the ideal candidate.
