Systems Engineer- New York City- $65k-$115k

An industry leading publishing software company is looking to fil a Systems Engineer position in the NYC area. Applicants must be a team-player, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and demonstrate excellent oral/written communication skills.

Key responsibilities include:

*Installing and configuring applications on clustered servers.

*Implementing High Availability architecture

*System tuning

*System backup/restore procedures

*File management and system troubleshooting

*Integrate new technologies into existing data center environments

*Create flowcharts, diagrams and other documentation

*Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with systems

Desired skills and experience:

*Knowledge of NAS, SAN, iSCSI, NFS

*Experience with system monitoring tools

*Strong engineering skills

*Experience with system monitoring tools

*Excellent knowledge of UNIX, Solaris, Linux

*Knowledge of COBRA, Veritas, VMware, Citrix, XML, Python
