ITE Moda Ltd, leading trade fashion exhibition organiser and publisher, is looking for a talented Web Developer to join the team at its Huddersfield office.

JOB PURPOSE

The Web Developer will be responsible for supporting our existing online infrastructure, as well as the development of new digital communications applications and websites. They will update and maintain our existing websites to ensure they keep up with user-experience, rich-media, technology and Web 2.0 industry standards, as well as leading the production of new sites and applications for future events.

The Web Developer will assist project teams with technical issues in the planning phase of all digital projects, including the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions. Participation on development projects will be focused on smoothing the transition of solutions from development staff to operations staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

*Solution development and delivery

*Work with head of studio on the design, then lead on coding, delivery and testing of web-based technical solutions.

*Develop new Web applications as identified by the marketing team through packaged and customised applications.

*Manage the transition of any existing websites to a Kentico CMS-based platform.

*Create widgets for online content distribution and presentation within a Kentico environment.

*Design and implement user-driven templates, databases and interfaces for ease of use.

*Testing and reporting

*Perform complete quality assurance testing of Web applications.

*Conduct all user acceptance testing, and report results.

*Manage bug-fixing process for development projects in collaboration with other internal development teams.

*Maintenance and support

*Maintain and enhance existing Web applications and associated internal systems.

*Keep existing websites functional and up to date with new technology and content.

*Liaise on a daily basis with the marketing and events teams to carry out development led tasks.

*Systems administration

*Manage and maintain our Kentico CMS deployments.

*Work with ITE London digital team to help manage and maintain our web servers and hosting infrastructure.

*Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

*Ensure the following tasks are performed:

*daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all server resources, systems and key processes,

*regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

*regular file archival and purges as necessary.

*support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Experience & Knowledge required (essential):

*Confident in support and development of Kentico CMS v7.x and above, with practical experience of working with the system (or similar .NET based CMS).

*Proven track record of working with ASP.NET

*Exhibits proficiency in HTML and can confidently code JavaScript.

*Solid experience of C#.NET, MS SQL Server, JavaScript, CSS and (X) HTML.

*Possesses good knowledge of XML/XSL.

*Understanding of back end development and integration with front end design

*Knowledge of web server applications

*Demonstrates knowledge of object and component methodology and technology.

*Possesses good knowledge of classes, components, objects, and interfaces.

*Recognizes the fundamental differences between the various internet browsers, e-mail clients and FTP clients.

Knowledge of the following is desirable:

Other .NET CMS platforms; applying WAI accessibility standards; coding best practice; SEO principles and how they should be applied within development processes
