Leeds University Union is a charity that helps over 31,000 students love their time at Leeds. Located at the heart of campus, the Union is a space to meet people, make new friends and get involved.

We’re looking for a creative and talented web developer to join our marketing team and play a key role in delivering our ambitious digital plans.

With over 60,000 visits to our website each month and a social media following of over 62,000, our digital platforms are essential for us to engage with our student members and other audiences.

Far from being complacent, we’re working hard to increase their reach and impact. As our Web Development Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Marketing team and other colleagues to help us troubleshoot and run fixes and updates as well as building, developing and maintaining our online channels.

You’ll feel confident creating and maintaining high quality digital content in-line with our brand. Writing HTML, CSS and jQuery will come naturally to you, but more importantly, you’ll have the ability to use these tools in a way that allows you to solve problems and present ideas online in a clear, efficient and accessible way.

A champion of digital innovation, you’ll understand the value of personalised, accessible and mobile-enabled content backed up by a clear user journey. You’ll apply this knowledge from planning through to building through to launch and evaluation.

As a strong team player you’ll integrate with other creative members within the marketing team, using their expertise at writing copy, graphic design or producing media content to provide a great user experience.

An excellent communicator, you will also be extremely helpful, supportive and friendly.

We offer 26 days’ holiday (plus generous statutory and customary closure days) and a final salary pension scheme.

For further details and an application form please click the APPLY button. Please note that we do not accept CVs.

If you have not heard from us within four weeks then unfortunately you have not been successful on this occasion.
