Senior C++ Software Engineer - Wrexham

Fantastic opportunity for a talented Software Engineer to join a small and ambitious technology company working in the field of optical metrology, predominantly for medical applications and take responsibility for their Software. As the first dedicated C++ Software Engineer within a growing technology company whose products are in demand globally, the role would ideally suit an individual with demonstrable C++ software development experience who is looking to advance their career through a role with real responsibility and opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Suitable applicants for this challenging opportunity must have significant commercial experience and:

*An excellent understanding of best practice in high-integrity software development, including documentation, configuration management, and management of a team.

*Strong coding skills in C++; knowledge of the Qt cross-platform development environment would be a distinct advantage. Working knowledge of Fortran 2003, embedded C and/or Java would be highly advantageous but not essential.

*Capability to create deployment packages, initially on Windows platforms (for example using Windows Install XML or NSIS) but similar capabilities in the Linux environment would be advantageous.

Our clients products are sophisticated measuring instruments comprising many individual software components including embedded code on microcontrollers, a comprehensive graphical user interface, high-integrity data-management functions for use in a regulated environment, and high-performance numerical analysis code running on many-core parallel processors. The Senior C++ Software Engineer will help to move the company forward by assuming responsibility for overseeing the development, maintenance, documentation, deployment, and support of all current and emerging software components across its product range.
