Play your part on projects of unprecedented scale.

This is an exciting time to be involved in project work at the City of London Police. We’re undertaking a range of projects to transform the way we work, including our £multi-million radical development of our overall estate in partnership with the Corporation of London. Alongside this, we’re making vital upgrades to a range of IT systems while delivering rapid business change. It’s a vibrant environment and you will be at the heart of it.

We’re looking for dynamic and flexible project managers to strengthen our team as we start the second phase of our accommodation project: the feasibility, overall development and project management of this major programme. You’ll have the chance to hone your skills as you lead or support other project managers on multiple complex projects, focusing on the accommodation, IT or business change project, depending on your expertise. You could be involved in the transition of all departments to an interim estate, space planning of the interim and new estate or cross-functional and multifunctional business transformation projects.

Driven and enthusiastic, you will bring significant experience of change and project management, ideally within the public sector, together with sound knowledge of relevant methodologies and best practice. A proven track record of managing staff and resources will be essential. Highly organised and efficient in the way you work, you will have strong IT skills. The flair for negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management to get results within complex structures and tight timescales will also be essential.

Policing the Square Mile brings with it particular challenges, quite unlike any other policing area within the UK. To recognise this, we offer a wide range of benefits, including a subsidised canteen, employee discounts, flexible working and access to the local government pension scheme. We also support your personal and professional development by offering a leadership programme, 360 personal reviews, and generous sponsorship for courses.
