Kew is the world-leader in plant diversity science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a major visitor attraction, that shows the importance of plants in all our lives. Kew’s mission is to inspire and deliver science-based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life.

Grow Wild is an ambitious mass-participation programme that inspires people - especially disadvantaged and young people - to do something positive for where they live by sowing, growing and enjoying native plants and wild flowers.

The programme is funded through a major grant from the Big Lottery Fund and is implemented from May 2012 to April 2017. Over its lifetime, Grow Wild will reach 30 million people, including four million young people aged 12-25, and galvanise three million people to take direct action.

The England Partnership Manager is responsible for driving participation in RBG Kew’s flagship outreach programme, Grow Wild, through a national network of funded community projects and partner organisations, across England. This focus is a high profile network of funded community projects, and a nationally significant flagship site, as well as an extensive network of partner organisations focused on sharing seed kits, joint promotion, etc.

To achieve ambitious programme targets, Grow Wild brings together a range of delivery organisations across England with local connections and expertise in youth and community engagement and landscape renewal.

Reporting to the Lead Partnership Manager, you will join a team of Partnership Managers (one per country) and Engagement Officers. You should have proven experience delivering inspiring experiences that drive community action, combined with notable successes in managing grant schemes, projects and partnerships.

You will be based at Kew Gardens but this role will involve England and UK travel.

Benefits include 30 days holiday per year, a choice of pensions, a flexible benefits scheme as well as a great working environment.
