Layer 1 Firmware Engineer - LTE/DSP##

My client, a leading global semiconductor company, are actively looking for a Layer 1 Firmware Engineer to work out of their brand new offices in Oulu. This office has been opened to help strengthen their existing teams and push forward into LTE-A development and future cellular technologies (i.e. 5G). Successful Layer 1 Engineers will have over 3 years worth of commercial experience post academic studies, and hold a technical degree (2.1 minimum) in a relevant subject area such as; Software Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or Electronics.

Alongside a good educational background, you will also need to have experience in the following areas;

- C Programming

- DSP or ASIP Processors

- Embedded Software/Firmware Development

- In-depth knowledge of cellular protocols such as; LTE, LTE-A, 4G or 5G.

Additional experience in the following areas is also highly desirable;

- ARM Cortex Processors

- COSIM

- LTE receiver development
