Leeds Beckett University Estates Service Department is seeking to appoint a new Project Manager. The post holder will report to the Head of Space Planning and be responsible for allocated projects associated with migrations, signage and space planning to achieve effective and quality learning, teaching and working environments.

The post holder will play an active role in the Space Planning team, managing a variety of projects that support the University’s Estates Strategy. These may range from managing migrations, creating furniture layouts, managing signage projects, implementing space occupancy standards, undertaking space reviews, room surveys, data analysis and report writing. The post holder will also suggest improvements and assist in the development of design standards, systems and processes.

The successful candidate will have:

- Possession of a first degree in a relevant subject or working towards the equivalent.

- Extensive experience of managing complex and inter-related projects, preferably in a higher education institution or large organisation, using best practice project management procedures.

- Excellent analytical skills and knowledge and understanding of current thinking about developments in space planning, workplace environments and project management.

- Excellent negotiating skills and agreeing group solutions.

The following criteria are desirable:

- Experience with using AutoCAD, or similar software, to produce furniture layouts.

- Knowledge and awareness of developments in furniture systems to achieve optimum layouts for quality environments.
