The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and one of the world’s greatest libraries. Our collections contains more than 150 million items of books, maps, music scores, newspapers, sound recordings, patents, databases, stamps, prints, drawings and much more.

We are seeking a talented and influential Front-End Developer who is passionate about digital design and developing high quality, standards compliant, user-friendly interfaces.

You should be comfortable working in an AGILE environment and be very familiar with digital trends and emerging technologies. The work will include web, tablet and mobile so substantial experience in these formats is essential.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced web, UX and graphic design professionals based in our London and York offices, working both independently and as part of a multifunctional project team.
