Responsible for a programme of Care Quality Commission IT projects, you’ll help to make sure our people benefit from innovative IT solutions, which support our work to regulate health and adult social care in England. We exist to make sure everyone in the nation benefits from safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care. You’ll play a key role in enabling our success.

Working closely with our IT Programme Management Lead, you will create a portfolio of IT solutions. Each will be built around the needs of the end user, with appropriate controls to ensure strong availability and performance. Having developed business cases, you’ll gain approval from a range of stakeholders. You will champion robust project planning, building in formal review and regular monitoring for the delivery stage, along with support models, training and customer engagement to ensure successful live running. Managing and motivating a skilled team, you’ll take accountability for the delivery of your programme of projects on budget, on time and on spec.

To be equal to the challenge, you’ll need a proven ability to manage complex, organisation-wide IT programmes or projects at a strategic level, involving both internal teams and suppliers. You are a certified expert in a recognised programme and project management methodology, such as MSP. You also have a strong working knowledge of budgetary control and resource allocation. We expect you to be a creative, strategic thinker who leads by example. A motivational leader of matrix teams, you are also adept at forging collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
