Due to the growth and success of our digital portfolio, helping to market and advertise SME's, we are looking to grow our engineering team. We are seeking an Entry Level/Graduate UI Developer to join our Reading based team, on a permanent basis. With your help we will use the latest technologies to design exciting new interactions for desktop and mobile browsers. We are looking for someone who has a passion for technology and wants to learn all the skills of a great UI Developer. We are looking for a 'can do' attitude and general eagerness to develop themselves in the commercial world.

The Role:

- Create usable interfaces for Yell.com search, reviews, videos, maps and mobile

- Build using the latest client-side technologies for all modern browsers (knowledge of ES6 a plus)

- Application of the W3C standards for browsers across all platforms

- Engage with internal stackholders to keep us future-friendly

- Prototype new ideas to promote usage, improve efficiencies or explore new technology

The Person:

- Degree is Computer Sciences or relevant exposure to JavaScript programming

- A flair for UI design

- Excellent quality of written and spoken English

- Inquisitive mind that likes to experiment with new ideas

- Good basic knowledge of both HTML5 and CSS

- Knowledge of a variety of software design patterns

In order to be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate proof of eligibility to work in the UK and hold a valid work visa if applicable.
