This exciting opportunity is based at our head office in Rugby and due to the continued growth of our Marketing department, including the Digital Marketing area; we have an opportunity for a talented developer to work on innovative and exciting solutions. We are seeking a competent and responsible employee to work as part of the Marketing Department and alongside I.T. to deliver new business initiatives. The Front End Developer (HTML / CSS / JavaScript / jQuery) will be responsible for a wide range of tasks from content creation, design updates, building numerous Digital Media applications and getting involved in the on-going Digital marketing. The successful candidate will manage both brand websites - www.hafele.co.uk and www.ideasforliving.co.uk predominantly - as well as play lead on other projects in the pipeline including eMarketing, Mobile application development, Intranet development etc.
We have plenty of exciting projects underway and planned for the future, so you must be eager to make a positive impact to the team from the outset.
You are required to have:
- At least 3 years commercial web development experience (or equivalent)
- Demonstrable capability in a server side language (e.g. Classic ASP, ASP.NET, PHP)
- Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Evident practice in creating web user interfaces
- Mobile web development
Experience with the following will be of advantage but not required:
- CMS
- Use of a graphics package (e.g. Photoshop/Fireworks)
- SAP (especially SAP SOA Manager)
- SOAP/XML Web Services
- HTML/CSS3 standards
- ASP.NET MVC
- Database (especially MS SQL Server)
- CSS pre-processing (SASS/Less)
The role will sit as part of the Digital Marketing area of the newly established Marketing Team and comes with the opportunity to really shape the future of online channels.
