As a Network Support Team Leader, you’ll help manage the team that keeps the high quality of our service availability at its best. Your team will specifically take care of maintaining and supporting the IP operations domain and it’s down to you to make sure they have everything they need to concentrate on the task in hand. Working closely with the Technical Lead, you’ll carry out regular 1-2-1s, chair weekly team meetings, identify training needs, manage recruitment, monitor annual leave, check expenses, assess project resourcing and generally manage the team’s performance - escalating, reviewing, making recommendations and taking remedial action as and when needed. And of course you’ll do all this whilst ensuring they’re happy, motivated and on-board.

But to earn the respect of our talented crew, your own credentials will need to be impressive. For starters you’ll need an engineering background as you have to understand what you’re talking about. That’s why you’ll need to demonstrate a good knowledge of Juniper, Cisco, Huawei NE Routers, MPLS, VRF-Lite, RIP, OSPF and BGP. You’ll also need to have vendor management and SLA experience, as well as feeling comfortable working to performance KPIs. Beyond that it’s really all about bringing out the best in your team, managing change and motivating them - meaning great communication and influencing skills, along an approachable, yet firm, manner are what’s in order.
