Build on your experience of Heritage Lottery-funded projects by successfully delivering a £1.4 million museum refurbishment.
About the role
Fixed-term contract, April 2015-November 2017
You’ll be responsible for delivering the £1.4 million refurbishment of the Gloucester Waterways Museum, a project supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund. The role will involve liaising with key stakeholders, working with internal and external partners, and coordinating a whole host of specialists, including architects, historic boat repairers and museum consultants. You will also be responsible for monitoring expenditure and for managing records on all aspects of the project, including safety and risk.
About you
We’re looking for a proven project management track record within construction or building, including specific experience of working on Heritage Lottery-funded projects. This will have given you a good understanding of risk management, some knowledge of financial controls and systems of compliance, and the ability to work effectively with contractors and consultants in a partnership environment. In terms of qualifications, you’ll need a relevant degree (or equivalent) and membership of an appropriate professional body such as ICE, RIBA, or APM.
Experience of working within a museum environment or with historic boats would also be advantageous.
