An exciting opportunity for a Lync Infrastructure Engineer has arisen to work for the UKs leading Engineering Support Services organisation as part of their Corporate Services division. The successful individual will be required to obtain SC clearance upon acceptance of the position.

As a Lync Infrastructure Engineer your primary objective will be to maintain and upgrade the Lync computing environment, encompassing Core Lync 2010 and 2013 infrastructures. Your day/to/day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

*Providing technical support, analysis and service enhancements for the Lync environment

*Designing, deploying and testing Microsoft Lync 2010/13 in telephony service configuration with ancillary systems such as telephony gateways and PBX systems

*Monitor and maintain Lync 2010/2013 infrastructures to agreed operational standards

*Maintain all Lync computing management processes

*Production of Operational and Technical documentation to agreed standards

*Providing assistance to fellow IT support team members within the 1st and 2nd line teams

The successful Lync Infrastructure Engineer will be a driven and proactive individual who will have a strong track record working with Lync and other Microsoft technologies in both a support and project capacity. You will be comfortable working as part of a team, providing assistance to junior colleagues, and an ability to work within a high volume and fast paced environment. Your experience and skills will ideally include:

*Provision of technical support, analysis and service enhancements for the Lync environment

*Design, deployment and testing of MS Lync 2010/2013 in telephony service configuration with ancillary systems such as telephony gateways and PBX systems

*Experience monitoring and maintaining Lync 2010/2013 infrastructures to agreed operational standards

*Maintenance of all Lync computing management processes

*Meet all SLAs and KPIs

*Troubleshooting operational issues
