Out client is a prestigious Government organisation situated in central London. They have identified the need for a Desktop Applications Analyst to ensure that the assigned requirements are efficiently and securely addressed. (DV Clearance is highly desired)

You will be part of the Technology Design and Assurance (TDA) team providing technical assurance over all planned IT infrastructure implementations undertaken by both internal and external resources, as directed by the TDA Manager. TDA – Desktop Applications ensure that all technical deliverables meet necessary standards and the requirements of the Architecture Review Boards, in relation to Desktop Applications.

Key Responsibilities:

•Ensure that assigned requirements are efficiently and securely addresses, in line with existing service policy and guidelines.
•Provide system design to programme and projects as necessary.
•Provide the design focus for the department in relation to changes and requests for information.
•Review assigned, key technical documentation such as system design, installation guides etc; advising project/ team leads of risk areas.
•Assure assigned technology solutions, ensuring that they are adequately reviewed and tested from an integration and technical assurance perspective prior to release into the operational (Production) Environment; reporting risks/ issues to the relevant authority.
•Ensure that assigned technology solutions are correctly transitioned to live operations with the correct document sets, guaranteeing quality solutions.
•Review technical standards/ best practices and report any necessary changes through the change management cycle.

Knowledge:

•Experience of Windows Client/ Server infrastructure (E).
•Understanding of Windows domain design, and implementation processes and methods (E).
•Knowledge of COTS and scripted deployment methods (E).
•Knowledge of PRINCE2 (D).
