SQL Server 2000/ 2005, Sybase, Oracle, Unix, AIX, Linux, Heat, Remedy, HP Openview, Frontrange, Java, Visual Basic, Windows, Client Server.
Application Support Analyst required with strong skills in either SQL Server, Unix, Oracle, Sybase or AIX. You must have experience working with Heat, Remedy, HP Openview or any other call logging systems. If you have experience with Java, Visual Basic, C, Client Server or Windows then this would be beneficial but not essential.
You would be responsible for providing quality 1st-2nd line support for external customers. You will be required to gather information, diagnose faults and rectify any problems via telephone or remotely. You must ensure that all support calls are logged on HEAT, ensure that all issues are fully managed and you must keep the customer updated at all times. You may deal with anything from 3-15 calls per day dependant on how complex the issue.
As this is working with external customers you must possess excellent customer service skills, maintain a proactive attitude and you must be able to work under pressure when at times the calls can be business critical.
Working within a team of up to 10 individuals you will be able to work well within a team but also as an individual. If you have experience of working within the financial, insurance or legal sector then this would be of high advantage.
The role is commutable from Bath, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Swindon, and potentially South Wales.
