This is the ideal position for an experienced Project Manager with a background in software development projects to develop their career with a truly global name. In this role you will be responsible for leading and driving cross-functional project teams in order to deliver stand-alone projects from initial requirements through to complete status.
This role will require your good understanding of project and software development processes and lifecycles, and will utilise your influencing and persuading skills. Your experience of negotiating project requirements and your ability to manage your own time to deliver multiple requirements will mean that you will enjoy the challenges that this role presents.
As an IT Project Manager your duties will include:
- using project management tools to establish clear milestones
- arranging and managing weekly project team meetings
- managing the project from requirements gathering to Engineering completion
- reporting project status to senior management and the project office
- attending weekly launch meetings in order to present project updates
To succeed in this position you must have proven experience of managing software development projects, from concept to delivery. As well as your ability to work to formal project management processes, you will also need to demonstrate experience of the following:
- integrating plans from at least 5 cross-function groups
- informing, updating and influencing managers
- negotiating project requirements
- operating within a matrix management structure
