Our client is a fast growing technology division of the UK’s leading property management and related services company. Their Engineers install and maintain a wide range of fire alarm, warden/ nurse call, access control and CCTV systems. They are now looking to recruit a Trainee Maintenance Engineer / Apprentice Maintenance Engineer to specialise within fire prevention and detection systems.
For this position our client is looking for an approachable and enthusiastic candidate to train to become a Maintenance Engineer. You will be provided with a comprehensive training programme and funding to undertake a Fire Industry Association course – which means this is an excellent opportunity to develop your fire safety career.
As a Trainee Maintenance Engineer / Apprentice Maintenance Engineer you'll be responsible for helping to carry out planned preventative maintenance, system repairs and technical support as required at client sites throughout Uxbridge and the surrounding areas.
Your duties will include:
- conducting maintenance checks on fire alarm and allied systems
- repairing faults on fire alarm and allied systems
- liaising with clients on specific problems
- providing technical support to clients within the territory
To succeed as the Trainee Maintenance Engineer / Apprentice Maintenance Engineer you will need proven customer service skills, good technical ability and strong organisational skills. As well as your ability and desire to learn, and your good standard of education (ideally to A level or equivalent), you must also have a driving licence, strong interpersonal skills and a positive ‘can do, will do’ attitude.
