Our client is a specialist web software development company that provides bespoke web applications to a diverse range of private and public sector clients. Due to continued growth and expansion they are looking for a Web Application Developer / Graduate Programmer to join their team in Oadby.
If you have the intelligence and the fundamental understanding of how to program for the web, our client can train you in the specifics. The company works only in ASP.NET with C# and MS SQL Server; however, candidates with strong OO ability in any language (C++, Java, etc.) will be considered.
What you will need is a strong ability in OOP techniques, an analytical problem-solving mind, a good knowledge of web-based software development and technologies, and good database design structure. Knowledge of XML/ XSLT would also be an advantage. Our Client is keen to see graduates (or equivalent) in an IT related discipline as well as people who may have previous experience in a similar role, though thorough training will be given. It is critical that you must be able to develop fast, accurately predict timescales, and be self-motivated. Good English communication skills are also required. Candidates with strong abilities in developing web-based applications in any language (i.e. ASP.NET, PHP, JSP, or ASP) are preferred.
