Infrastructure Manager/ PC/ Mac/ London

My client, an exciting and fast growing fashion retailer, are seeking a Infrastructure Manager to work in their London head office

You will be required to plan, organise, and manage overall operations to ensure the stability of the organisation's IT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, monitoring, supporting, and optimising key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, telecoms systems, desktop environments and retail stores technology

Key responsibilities

- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management
- Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and business development efforts
- Establish, review and maintain service level agreements with business units
- Design, Development and Implementation of Server Consolidation and Server Migration initiatives including management of equipment vendors
- Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LAN, WAN, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, servers, data communications, telecommunications and desktop environments: PC & Mac.
- Conduct pro-active feasibility studies for needed upgrade projects, improvements, and other potential conversions
- Define and maintain hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders
- Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure
- Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure and identifying operational efficiencies and scalable capabilities
