Main Function
This central PMO will drive through the highest levels of project oversight, reporting, and championing ensuring the adoption and adherence of structured project delivery methodologies.
Key interfaces are: Project Sponsors, Head of COO Office, PM's, Regional Heads, Service Owners & Regional COO's.
Main Duties
Project Governance;
· Project Oversight across the project portfolio to spot obvious gaps in delivery plans. On-going guidance and support to project managers ensuring sign off to each project stage is achieved successfully
· Ensure all projects have defined benefits (tangible where appropriate) and return on investment evaluations to help steering committee's prioritise accordingly
· Own & co-ordinate the monthly pipeline project management process.
Structured Reporting and Management Information:
· Produce a quarterly summary report for review at SMT outlining SI position; successful projects, lessons learnt & degree of benefit realisation.
· Complete Post Implementation Reviews (including benefits realisation) for each S.I. on project completion.
· Ensure Regional initiatives are reported effectively on a monthly basis.and follow the project governance process
· Deliver monthly Strategic Initiatives reporting to appropriate stakeholders; continue to refine the key deliverables and challenge/ guide report content
Training / Support:
· Project Standards support and training to Project Managers for internal methodologies.
· Support the COOs in achieving effective project governance on inter regional initiatives and review for potential strategic/ global alignment
· Support and Training of Project Management Tools such as project plan repository (internally known as Tracker).
· Investigate getting Tracker up and running in Wealth, depending on funding & training.
· Attend Capital Projects Continuous Improvement Programme meetings & DCR management meetings and drive improvements in project management practices, including the ACMO & T+ models
Ad-hoc:
· Servicing ad-hoc requests such as information gathering, resource tracking, project financial reporting and building information packs for Steering Committee's
Person Requirements
· Project Management Office (PMO) experience in Investment Banking
· Excellent practical knowledge of project methodologies, frameworks and governance
· Project Management experience for small or medium sized projects
· Strong negotiating skills from junior PM's to Senior IT Managers
· Strong knowledge of both centralized and decentralized PMO processes and procedures
· Ability to collate, analyze and package Management Information quickly and accurately
