Cognos or Microsoft SQL Server BI Specialist - Market leader and global provider of bespoke BI solutions is currently expanding and seeks an experienced Cognos or Microsoft SQL Server BI Consulant to play a lead role in the expansion of its Cognos and Microsoft BI practise. The Ideal Cognos or Microsoft BI Specialist / Consultant will need proficiency in a variety of Cognos or Microsoft applications, some may include modules such as Cognos PowerPlay, Cognos ReportNet, Cognos Impromptu, Cognos DecisionStream, Cognos Web Reports, Cognos Analysis Studio, Cognos Metric Studio etc. Experience of building OLAP Cubes in cognos or SQL Server analysis services is essential. Experience of Dimensional modelling and relational databases is ideal. Developing proof of concepts is a massive bonus and will ensure the client and business will gain confidence in the solutions provided. Mentoring experience will ensure the successful Cognos or Microsoft BI Specialist / Consultant is seen a true BI expert. This is a hands on Cognos or Microsoft BI role where exposure to all areas of the business is offered. The opportunity to gain experience of accounting, budgeting, forecasting and planning is realistic.
