The role will involve developing numerical code and simulation software for the modelling, simulation and analysis of the noise, vibration and harshness of mechanical systems. The position offers excellent personal development opportunities, small & large projects and the potential for international travel. It’s a social, supportive, medium size company (70 UK, 100 worldwide) with a good mix of young and senior staff from all backgrounds. They are looking for a mathematician with experience of modelling physical/ mechanical systems and software skills such as C/ C++, Java or Matlab.

Position: Mathematical Modeller / Simulation Software Engineer
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: £25-35k

Key Skills: Strong Maths, modelling, software engineering skills (C/ C++, Java, or other) modelling tools such as Matlab, simulation software for physical or mechanical systems.

To be considered for the position the individual must have a Degree in Engineering or Applied Mathematics at least 1 years relevant industry experience and an understanding of engineering principals.

Of particular interest - static and dynamic analysis, creation of simulation software; good programming skills, preferably with a working knowledge of Object Oriented programming; experience of mathematical modelling tools, mechanical transmissions, mathematical models/ numerical modelling for solving physical systems (which may include FEA and systems dynamics)
