My client, a market leading global service orientated company who operate within the defence sector are actively looking to recruit an Infrastructure Manager to work within their land systems IT group. You will report into the Technical Operations Manager and be responsible for the day to day administration and management of the Service Delivery and integrity of the managed infrastructure. You will manage a team of specialist engineers and technicians and take charge of their personal development and asses, identify and develop key skills in line with the business needs.
The Infrastructure manager will -
Maintain the supported networks within the agreed SLA
Ensure the supported networks are stable, secure resilient and correctly sized.
Promptly resolve escalated issues
Designing and commissioning advanced configurations
Manage WAN monitoring and utilisation statistics.
Management of the rectification of reported WAN issues.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the IT industry and have a worked within a large IT support function managing teams of support engineers. You will have an in depth understanding of working within in an ITIL environment and be able to work to strict SLAs. You will be a natural leader and have ability to manage and develop teams of skilled engineers.
