My Client is a software services company that specialises in the development of bespoke systems for the Financial Markets sector. Their client list is predominantly blue-chip and includes major financial exchanges, investment banks, brokers, oil companies and publishing houses. My Client delivers business critical systems, and has a reputation for providing the highest calibre people to solve complex and demanding problems.
This is an opportunity to join a small, dynamic and delivery focused team. There is a need for a highly experienced Project and Planning Coordinator to work alongside the Delivery Manager(s) and Project Manager to produce and manage plans and deliverables. The candidate should have aspirations to move into more of a Junior Project Manager role.
Responsibilities will include preparation and a proactive management of the project plan, ensuring production of all deliverables on their due dates, producing some when required, ensuring stage gates are effectively planned, managing the day to day finances and liaising with PMO as required for contracts, extensions, budget approvals etc. Identification and proactive management of the Project assumptions, risks, issues and dependencies.
Requirements:
End to end delivery plan for the Project
Support for the creation of a programme plan with the separately managed TDRM™ Community of Practice Project.
Presentations to steering groups. Management groups and as stakeholder presentations
Day to day financial control and management
ARIaD log fully managed and reported against
Financial plan/ Budget
Experience and Knowledge - Essential:
5 years PMO
MS Project – 5+ years
Planning, critical path analysis, risk, issue, assumptions and dependencies management
Financial control/ accountability
Presentation preparation
Presentation skills
Desired Skills - At least 3.
ITIL
Investment banking experience
Prince 2 qualified
Enterprise software development (planning or PM)
Agile/ iterative development (planning or PM)
