Core Data Network 2nd Line Fault Engineer (Cisco / juniper / alcatel / MPLS )
Hampshire (M3) to 40,000 per annum plus bonus plus package and excellent prospects with pioneering market leader

Brief overview of the role :
Provide second level fault diagnosis and resolution of basic and complex issues to restore service within Service Level Agreements
· Perform assessment, implementation and review of basic and complex change requests in accordance with change management processes.
· Perform network security administration tasks and activities that prevent, detect or recover from security issues
· Escalate technical issues to internal support groups and external suppliers to resolve complex problems and implement activities to prevent re occurrence
· Perform basic and complex network configuration tasks and maintain the integrity of network records and databases
· Provide implementation support to ensure the delivery of projects and perform activities to ensure operational readiness
Maintain network Quality of Service by proactive performance management activities
We are looking for great team workers who can bring the following skills
· Minimum 3 years in a Data Networking Support Environment ideally within an ISP.
· Experience of Cisco Routing & Switching technology. CCNA advantageous (specifically BGP, OSPF, RIP). Ideally Juniper routers and Alcatel switches
· Knowledge of Data Communications and Networking technologies including LAN, WAN principles, Frame Relay, ATM, TCP/ IP protocols and multi-protocol routers. Ideally MPLS, LDP and ISIS
· Degree, HNC or equivalent in Computing, Telecommunications or related subject
· Computer Literate (Working knowledge of REMEDY system)
