Fantastic opportunity for an engineer with good knowledge of thermodynamics to work in a brand new team and become a technical expert with a blue chip organisation.
This role would ideally suit a senior engineer with experience of steam turbines and the thermodynamic processes involved. You will hold a key position in the department using your knowledge to consult with high profile clients and deliver tailored solutions to meet their needs.
The company are a market leading provider of full turnkey power generation solutions for clients the world over. The company are experiencing continued and steady growth and are investing in a new specialist division to improve their service to clients and maintain their position in the market.
You will liaise with the service and engineering divisions, offering Technical support and solutions to clients and customers alike. This could be via telephone or meetings both in the UK and Europe.
Your experience will be invaluable to the success of the new division. You will be fully supported in the role to ensure you are successful, and have the opportunity to progress to senior positions.
The role will involve:
•Thermodynamic data analysis reviews.
•Providing technical support and advice to clients and customers on issues regarding thermodynamics.
•Checking performance data and amending future solutions.
•Engineering and concept thermodynamic analysis (using both industry standard MS applications and in-house bespoke software).
•Specification and implementation of technology and product development, process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
In order to apply for this position it is ESSENTIAL that you:
•Have in depth knowledge of Thermodynamics and the cycles involved.
•Will have HND or equivalent in thermo/ mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline.
•Practical experience in steam turbines is a ideal.
•Are presentable, an excellent communicator and have transferable experience.
