You will be required to work 37.5 hrs per weeks Monday to Friday in this role and we require people to work on a flexible shift pattern.
The role - The Service Desk is a team which supports 850 internal staff remotely from Basingstoke. The team deal with a very wide variety of support calls and need to be able to troubleshoot new problems regularly.
The majority of cases are resolved by the Service Desk.
Your day to day role will include:
•Call Logging
•Escalation of calls
•Working to SLA's
•Basic Trouble Shooting
This is just a 1st line support role NOT a 2nd line role
Essential Experience/ Skills
Experience on an IT Helpdesk / Service Desk;
Experience providing 1st and 2nd line support;
Trouble shooting experience of Windows 2000 & XP
Basic knowledge of PC networking
Active Directory
Application Support
Personal Attributes
Good communicator
Strong telephone manner
Ability to cope with a fast paced environment
