My client based in Warwickshire are looking for a Systems Support Manager on an intial 6 month contract.
You will be working in a new project of which you will be supporting the implementation of a new bespoke system. From this, support processes and change control systems will be required to be redefined to ensure that the new system is supported appropiately.
You will
* Review and implement workload management process and systems
* Implement change and configuration governance and supporting systems
* Improve project standards and ensure a standard project management approach
* Review our approach to delivering the helpdesk
* Redefine our training approach
-Establishing resources
-Monitoring performance to plan, and taking appropriate action
-Reporting progress
-Maintaining appropriate standards and documentation throughout
You must have
-Project management according to the Prince2 methodology.
-Review, design, implementation and delivery of IT support systems and processes.
-Help Desk (Service Desk) Management.
-Systems change control.
-Training approaches.
-Management of people and change.
-In-depth knowledge of the PRINCE2 project management method, and understanding of how to use it appropriately.
-Knowledge of project planning techniques such as estimating and critical path analysis.
-Experience of managing customer facing IT support services including Help Desk (Service Desk), user guidance and support and training delivery
-Experience of managing and administering software applications to more than 300 concurrent users.
-Experience of reviewing and improving IT support service delivery.
-Experience of configuration management, change control systems, supporting processes and document management.
-Experience of delivering an IT service to customers who are not IT literate with positive outcomes.
-Experience of IT best practice techniques such as ITIL and IT Service Delivery
-Experience of managing change with positive outcomes.
