I am currently recruiting for a Security Engineer - SSO / SAML / JAVA for a leading Bank. I have outlined the role details below.

Role: Security Engineer - SSO / SAML / JAVA

Location: Canary Wharf, London

Rate: £600 - £700/day

Length: Month long initially with view to extend

Overall Job Purpose for the Security Engineer - SSO / SAML / JAVA

The strategic ID&V services require an engineer to assist the development and support of a web single sign-on service. The engineers need experience of SSO solutions, particularly their use with the web, JAVA and Web Services technology. The roles require a mixture of experience in JAVA programming and/or deployment of the relevant infrastructures (web servers, application servers, or web SSO products). Use of federation techniques (SAML) and integration of applications with these technologies.

Key Accountabilities for the Security Engineer - SSO / SAML / JAVA role

Build the infrastructure service

* Build the services into a secured internet facing environment

* Integrate with monitoring and management tools

* Test the configuration for resilience, performance and DR etc

* Test the application SSO features i.e. SAML, and other features.

Application Integration

* Define integration policy for applications and configuration.

* Configure service, including test environments.

* Assist application teams in testing and debugging.

* Create and support tools to automate the process of adoption by developers.

Support handover

* Assist in the development of support documentation

* Assist in handover to support staff

Knowledge needed for the Security Engineer - SSO / SAML / JAVA role

Technical Knowledge

* Specific Knowledge of Web, JAVA and web Services technologies.

* Specific Knowledge of authentication techniques such as SAML, OAUTH, and 2FA

* Specific knowledge of design, implementation and deployment of enterprise level security service for internet facing applications.

* Experience of implementation of large scale enterprise SAML frameworks.

* Experience of implementing web single sign-on infrastructure solutions.

* Experience of PING Federate or similar products such as Oracle identity Federation or Tivoli Federated Identity Manager desirable.
