The Work You Could Be Involved In.

Allstate has requirements for Java Developers within the J2EE environment across key projects in Driver app. Technologies, Claims Systems Technologies, Developing Allstate’s Roadside Services systems, Mobile technology projects and many more across the business.

Home Working Arrangements:

Allstate has established a policy which allows employees to work full time from home in the UK (residing outside Northern Ireland) after a period of training in Northern Ireland (usually 3-6 weeks in Belfast). We have been operating this employment arrangement successfully for several years and is ideal for many employees who want to cut out the daily commute to the office. Flights to Northern Ireland and overnight accommodation are arranged and paid for by the company during employment. There may be a requirement to attend meetings, training and days in the office once every 6 weeks. A range of relevant benefits apply to you no matter where you live in the UK.

Essential Criteria:

-3rd Level IT Degree/HND qualification

-Java programming experience (minimum 2 years post graduate commercial exp.)

-Minimum 2 years’ experience in working with various J2EE design patterns

-Applicants must be either an EU resident or hold a current UK Tier 1 General Visa with eligibility to work in the UK in a full time and permanent capacity.

Desirable Criteria:

-Struts 1.x (or higher)

-Working knowledge of WAS
