A prestigious organisation seeks a Java Software Engineer to join their development team. The successful candidate will be initially assigned to a flagship application engine project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some genuine exciting development programmes, using cutting edge technologies within extremely friendly and flexible team.

Main Responsibilities

·Include develop, test and maintain software assigned components, configure assigned interfaces, legacy systems and package implementations.

·Contribute to the analysis and rectification of problems in live applications, suggesting preventive action, to minimise the likelihood of recurrence.

·Deliver components of in-house software systems and interfaces that comply with the organisation's policy, standards and methodology for software engineering.

·Assist in the writing and maintenance of design documentation.

·Write unit tests for all code created.

·Manage application configuration and deployment packages.

·Provide a progress update in daily team meetings.

·Identify and manage problems arising during the development process.

Required Skills & Experience

·Previous commercial experience as Java based developers

·Strong knowledge of Java J2EE / Servlets, Frameworks such as Apache Struts 1.1, Spring or Hibernate

·Knowledge of Oracle Database or MS SQL

·Strong analytical and communication skills
