My client, a Support Service within the Educational Sector, is currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist (Projects) to join their team on a Permanent Basis. The organisation is a leading provider of support for over 1000 schools and academies in over 100 Local Authorities. Being a leader in its sector, this role provides applicants a fantastic opportunity to join a forward thinking company that is going from strength to strength!

The main focus of this role is to support the Technical Consultancy Manager in the coordination and delivery of Technical Consultancy Services. The successful candidate will also be required to support schools remotely and on site to make sure they are kept up to date with how schools use technology…

Key Skills and knowledge for this role include:

*A good understanding of the use of technology in the Education Sector

*Microsoft Windows client operating systems

*Microsoft Windows server operating systems

*Microsoft TCP/IP

*Networking Infrastructure

*Antivirus Systems (Symantec/Sophos)

*Good communication skills/customer service

*Experience of Mac OSX and iOS

It is also worth noting that due to the nature of this role, a Full UK Driving License is desirable for the site visits and that a CRB check will need to take place before employment commences.
