Waitrose is proud to be one of the UK's favourite retailers, offering quality and excellence at all times. To maintain the high standards our customers expect, our Distribution Centres operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are looking for an Operations Analyst at our new National Distribution Centre in Milton Keynes, where the environment is fast-paced and there will be a team of around 1,200 Partners.

The Centre will depend on proactive reporting and operational management support. To that end, you'll provide a central business intelligence package covering labour, productivity, order management, operational process and SLA performance across the site. As well as creating and managing the module, you'll bring analytical methods to bear on process analysis, spot any trends in data and deliver better ways to work with both data and technology. Additionally, you'll use data mining and data modelling to provide cost/benefit analysis and support the rest of the financial side of our operational performance.

A change advocate yourself, you'll be able to excite Partners about change by explaining its benefits and the business case, in a non-technical way. You'll also have a real desire to analyse data for any opportunities you can identify. You should have a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Admin, Maths or Finance, and you'll have advanced skills in Mini-Tab, Access, SQL, and Visual Basic Skills for Data Acquisition and Analysis. Lastly, you'll have management experience in a distribution or warehouse environment and a good grasp of warehouse management systems. You will also be required to 'bring data' to life for the Operational management team in a 'live' volatile environment.

Join us and you will be joining a unique business. As a Partner you'll be an active co-owner in the business, which means you'll have a share in the profits and a real say in determining its future. What's more, we take genuine pride in treating each other with respect and honesty.
