We are currently recruiting for one of the most established Automatic Payment companies in Europe.

Contract day rate - £200 - £230 per day

They are seeking a multi skilled 2nd / 3rd Line Application & Network Support Engineer (with a minimum of 24 months experience) to join their ever expanding business.

Within this role you will be required to deliver 24/7 technical support. This will include the logging, investigation and rectification of all incidents and problems on the customer's supported systems.

There will be a huge range of activities you will be carrying out, some include:

- Monitor management tools for alert conditions, logging incidents on the call logging system where required

- Report on the backup results and provide information to the agreed SLA

- Investigate and resolve incidents/problems

- Liaise with third party suppliers or maintenance suppliers

- Install and test operating/management software and associated products and ensure that each element performs to specification

- Prepare and produce systems documentation in accordance with company and ISO9000 policies and procedures

- Maintain up to date awareness of developments in IT industry and identify how appropriate ones can be applied to customer organisations

What we want from you:

- BTEC or higher in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science)

- CLP Administrator or equivalent professional experience

- MCSE or MCITPMS SQL

- Experience of Wintel

- Basic knowledge of backup software any of the following: CA Arcserve, Backup Exec, Net backup

- Basic knowledge of antivirus software - Kaspersky

- Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)

- CompTIA N+

- CompTIA A+

- Intermediate knowledge and experience of Intel hardware (primarily Dell)

- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of client / server environment concepts

- Knowledge of algorithms/methodologies for developing, building and configuring a system/network

- Intermediate knowledge of operations "bridge" functions - alerting, monitoring, reporting, and reacting to system events or failures
