JOB TITLE: Senior Design Engineer

THE ROLE

My client is recruiting to address a requirement for a generalist design engineer with excellent appreciation of automotive structures to work within the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* My clients customers demand a wide variety of design work and this vacancy addresses the need for a flexible engineer who can respond to these needs.

* Permanent recruits can expect to have the opportunity to take part in many different projects, large and small, over time.

* Some projects may be based at customer sites for a limited time, either in the UK or abroad.

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Suitable candidates will have the following skills and experience:

* Proficient in the use of CAD user with 3D visualisation

* Expertise in use of Catia V5 or UG NX software or other industry/standard CAD software

* Significant experience in applying design skills within the automotive industry or other previous engineering design experience / coupled with a good appreciation of automotive design in passenger car, agricultural, defence or commercial sectors

* Capable of communicating ideas and solutions to customers and colleagues using a variety of media including PowerPoint presentations

* An understanding of the management of risk

* A good standard of education and learning relevant to the role, ideally at degree level
