The tidal Thames is home to the UK's second biggest port, busiest inland waterway for freight and passengers, and a centre for sporting events. At the Port of London Authority (PLA) we oversee safety on the Thames, look after its unique marine environment and encourage people to make use of the river. The Corporate Affairs team plays an important role in this, engaging with the myriad stakeholders from rowers and sailors to commercial vessel operators and people who simply love the Thames.

We are seeking a highly motivated website communications professional to provide up-to-date, lively and dynamic web content. You will play a crucial role in delivering the PLA's web development and engagement strategy.

You will have a minimum of three years' experience in website design, management and development. You will be degree-educated and used to copy writing and editing for the web. You must be experienced in the use of social media in a business environment, managing simultaneous communications across the website, intranet and social media channels. This experience will have been gained either as an in house communications specialist or with an agency.

In addition you will be a team player, have a curious and innovative nature, possess strong attention to detail and proofreading skills, as well as having a strong grasp of English grammar.

The starting salary will be in the range of £40,385 to £44,575 per annum, dependant upon skills and experience. The Authority also offers a competitive benefits package.
