Kent County Council is developing an Electronic Document Records Management System using Microsoft technologies including document scanning (Kofax).

Initially the role will be based in Leeds, Yorkshire for at least six months and will also be based in Maidstone, Kent. Full time working at both locations is a requirement for this role.

We are seeking a motivated and flexible SharePoint .Net coding specialist with extensive experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise wide SharePoint solutions.

You will be able to demonstrate considerable knowledge and experience of C#.Net 3.5, Visual Studio 2012 .Net web services, WCF, IIS, PowerShell, SQL Server, SharePoint 2010, Workflow 4.5, Biztalk and using and extending SharePoint to deliver complex enterprise systems.

You will have substantial experience working within an enterprise IT environment developing SharePoint solutions using the SharePoint object model to create the application using C#.Net code.

Direct exposure to agile development methods, especially Scrum is required, as well as the ability to work in a waterfall environment. You must be able to demonstrate experience of using agile methods to work to tight timescales and the use of Team Foundation Server as part of the application life cycle.

You will have experience of working in partnership with software providers and suppliers to enhance functionality and to deliver cost savings to the business.

Attention to detail, quality and experience of successfully delivering projects to tight timescales are essential for this role. You will be required to adhere to detailed technical standards and architecture designs as defined by the Team Manager.

You will appreciate the importance of peer review; testing, code annotation and documentation as being key to ensuring solutions are robust, maintainable and supportable.

You must work collaboratively with other ICT teams, customers and suppliers to provide technical support and assistance to applications taking responsibility for problems through to resolution.

Practical experience of working with a test team to identify, investigate and resolve defects to ensure software quality is required.
