A City based private bank is looking for a Unix Administrator to join it's growing IT department. You must have worked in the banking sector and have experience of Sun Servers, Solaris, Veritas, EMC SAN and VM Ware. RedHat and a Sun certification are highly desirable.
As the Unix Administrator your responsibilities will include:-
•Ensuring the good operation of all aspects of the Unix based and associated systems across all environments within the constraints of the Change and Configuration Management procedures.
•Responsible for the smooth day to day management of the Unix Servers, related SAN infrastructure and backup solutions, as well as supporting the DBA, development and project teams.
•Install hardware and perform system builds to defined specifications. This will require a good understanding of virtualisation technologies and methodologies.
The ideal Unix Administrator will be a good team player, have strong customer focus, be proactive and detail conscious.
